Cardano VS Eos - Which Is Better (Comparison)

1224 ratings | 48363 views
Cardano and EOS are both decentralized, opened source blockchain cryptocurrencies, design to enable developers to run smart contracts, and build decentralized applications. The main difference between these two platform is consensus algorithm. Cardano uses consensus algorithm for proof of stake called Ouroboros, which determines how individual nodes reach consensus about the network. EOS uses consensus algorithm called Delegated Proof of Stake. The main difference between delegated proof of stake and proof of stake is that there is a pre-determined number of miners also called delegates in the system. ================================================= 💰Get a Coinbase Wallet! - https://www.coinbase.com/join/5a4bf25... The trouble with Larimer is he buggers off after a while and the project sinks quietly into the night.

I think you should invest in LEDU token...because LEDU has a potential to go up....and Education tokens (LEDU) are now listed for trade on Gate.io and Bibox cryptocurrency exchanges.
Ali Gandoz (12 days ago)
too many wrong statements in your video, EOS is decentralized blockchain ? lol ?21 master nodes is decentralized ? how the fuck is it free to send anything if i have to depart few tokens into the account ? lol he says flexibility and usability and governance ? Get shit on by the EOS huge holder which is Governance which will have the power to choose the 21 master nodes, you gotta be eos fan to saying alot of stuff and even ignoring A VERY HUGE DEAL if tech about cardano , the side chains, the wallet with peer to peer exchange with no fee, the treasury , The voting Center ,IELE, the list goes on and on and you mention nothing EOS FAN BOY,

EOS, without a shadow of a doubt.
AMATERRA-SU (17 days ago)
A lot of people will lose money on EOS, cause it's a big flop with to many bugs and very corrupt with it's extremely centralised handpicked 21 nodes!!!

Hoskinson cofounded Bitshares and Ethereum. Dan can't hold a candle to Charles. EOS will fail like Yahoo and Cardano will rise like Google.

EOS is a joke. Let's just wait and see where it ends up in 5-10 years.

EOS will have the future as no one want to pay something every time they post a tweet. Thats what make dAPP in Ethereum not interesting, it is more expensive to use than non dapp. disclaimer : I hold both tokens.
Martin Rodriguez (27 days ago)
Please tell me exactly how ANYONE can be an EOS delegate?? there seems to be only 21 of them and 100 on standby. is this truly a decentralized platform??
Mutombo 23 (30 days ago)
Skycoin is better. Period.

1)EOS has infaltion-bad for investors and bad for the people who needs to use EOS coin. crypto wasnt made to create inflation-it was made to free us from thee fraud the governments use which is printing money out of nowhere and as a result force inflation. so HODL EOS untill zero. 2)zero transaction fees also means compromising scalability..EOS will never be scalable as cardano.

Cardano/ADA has 85 occurences on this web page EOS has 70 The public has voted :)
Bantz Rayder (1 month ago)
Is EOS's programming language as strongly typed as Cardano's? Haskell seems like a great choice for a smart contracts platform. Same with OCaml in the case of Tezos. I know the least about EOS of the 3 ...
I don´t like your pronunciation man, it´s disgusting
Andreas Falley (1 month ago)
I think the smart money will go with ADA, not a project run by some guy that acts immaturely. You can't get around Cardano's development strategy of academic peer review. That's something that smart money and institutional money folks understand... because most of them went to Ivys and other top schools where the scientific method is appreciated.
Wayne Moore (1 month ago)
Biased - heavily tilted toward EOS - doesn't mention the governance in Cardano, but features it with EOS....doesn't consider Hoskinson's *substantial* blockchain experience, but features it when talking about EOS CTO Larimer....etc., etc. Also, scalability is the main problem with Ethereum, not flexibility.

and cardano is a coin and eos a ethereum token
Toni Kaiser (1 month ago)
What The Fuck, one transaction costs about 0.16 ada. The average people can only have 5 ada (there will be maximal 45 billion ada) Sounds not so very good. 0.01 ada for one transaction would still be to much.

Can you do a review of Vechain? I believe this will be in the top 5 by the EOY and will overtake both EOS and ethereum. It is viewed as the ethereum for enterprise and solves all the issues that Ethereum currently faces. PWC Hong Kong and PWC Singapore have just purchased a small ownership in the vechain company. Main net, with a number of fortune 500 companies are currently using, will be launched at the end of June. Here is a good summary of vechain and its partnerships - https://www.reddit.com/r/Vechain/wiki/index

Excellent explanation! I’m not a techie so, how does the price of ADA effect the transaction fees. If the fee is a fixed amount of ADA, then would the fees increase as the coin price increases?
Aimstone (1 month ago)
Thank you! Yes, it would increase slightly, depends on the byte size, the higher the byte size the higher the fee.

Your comment was so frustrating... you chose EOS because Dan built Bitshares??? LOL Guess who he built it with??? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL (I'll give you a hint... his initials are C.H.)
Al DeTrolio (1 month ago)
not to mention... Dan is a voluntarist (an anarchist) and a very vocally outspoken one, rather than keeping that under wraps. I am NOT knocking freedom or voluntarism at all...... I am also a voluntarist myself... but I am not trying to build the biggest most successful blockchain in the world to challenge THE GOVERNMENT BANKS. (I'll let you think about that one for a while, and see if you can figure out where this is going to end up for good ole Dan vs. the man.) LOL ....my money is on liquid democracy Charles, the government friendly blockchain... just call me crazy.

Serious question: Why would EOS or Cardano be picked my any developer if Tron is going to launch first and be faster?
bay (1 month ago)
tron wont be faster than cardano, not even close. tron is copy-paste blockchain..they copied from filecoin and everybody knows it. why filecoin not been chosen then?from the same reason tron wont be chosen. because cardano designed much better. by the way lisk is better than tron and it still struggles...

I honestly don't think there will be one that rules them all. This applying to application based tokens and store-of value-coins like Bitcoin/ Litecoin. The world doesn't work that way, people will be split and divided into thinking one way is better than the other, so a group of people will use one while another group will use another, because some people think one application has better positives than negatives, same with store-of-value coins. I think Bitcoin will turn into digital gold and Litecoin will turn into digital silver. Some people will build their applications on EOS while others may build it on Cardano or even NEO. But there can't be one that controls it all, because the world doesn't work that way.
Aimstone (1 month ago)
I agreed, its not a zero sum game, but some will outperform others...
Aurion Hassinger (1 month ago)
I'm confused. "EOS Transactions are free of charge... all that is required is you deposit tokens in to the account"? Isn't depositing my tokens in to their account the same thing as paying a fee?
Aimstone (1 month ago)
Aurion Hassinger No, but you do have to acquire tokens first, (usually by buying them) then you can transact those tokens free of charge between you and other users.

EOS, Digibyte, Litecoin are the future..each has its specialty, but there is a lot of overlap(all great med-long term investments..EOS could end up being a great short term..digibyte could have the biggest potential for growth from it current price point...and litecoin is litecoin ..it will always be good..its like silver..silver will always have value).. Bitcoin for storing wealth(like a bank..or a 401K/IRA/CD).. of course this video is a few weeks old..and as of today EOS is the clear winner of the two with EOS more then double the market cap increase...4billion to 4.6 at time of video..6.9 vs 11.5billion now..4/25..the airdrop is coming and it may hurt the EOS market cap do to a more then likely sell off/profit taking..Ill probably even sell a thousand or so, and make some money..then buy back in at a lower price{and some more digibyte}..but will bounce back..so no worry.

Cardano will not launch their orabourus in a hurry. They will take their time , tripple check everything and every single little detale have to be perfect before the launch. In the long run this is the winning strategy for sustainable tech If the investors can hold their ADA and fund the project enough until they are ready to launch. Slow and steady wins the race. Hold your ADA today or cry tomorrow
Aimstone (1 month ago)
Do you know when orabourus will be launched ?

Both will do well. Lets not forget that Hoskinson also worked on Bitshares. He's a true academic and his team is extremely impressive. EOS is pretty amazing though, and there will be so many Airdrops coming on it this year. If you're interested is EOS, you need yo try and get 100 EOS before it inevitably hits $750 this year. Hodl EOS, never get rid of it

Entire crypto market get into brick wall, unless the industry is not capable to reduce the operation costs. You know that there is 300k per hour just for keep it running . So, just for that, the crypto industry need more than 300k+per hour of fresh money into the system to keep it running and grow. So dear investors get your conclusions before loose your money.

Personally a big thing for me behind cardano that I don't like it their founder, he is an arrogant asshole and looks down on every other successful crypto out there, can you imagine actually going to business with someone like that? Of course not, why would any government or business want to do business with a narcissistic, jealous fool that makes an ass out of himself regularly? I certainly wouldn't trust my money with someone so irrational. EOS all the way.

Very informative and interesting for people that are very new to BC and Crypto....myself being one. I don't know enough around Cardano and EOS to form an opinion around who is better. What I do think is that many blockchains private and public will be successful for many different applications and many will fail. The real key are the systems that are being born which will build a better community for many more people than just a few.

The miners are interested in finding a nonce which will create a hash with certain characteristics. Lastly, they have to find a random value that they included in the header, which makes the computed hash over that header a value below a particular target. In other words, they do not have to agree to change the protocol. Though there are a few gold diggers attempting to fill their pockets and certain projects that aren`t viable and shouldn`t be encouraged in any way. For users running a complete node, it is a fairly painless procedure to upgrade the software to the newest version. The process of locating a new block to extend the blockchain is known as mining. Proof-of-Work systems utilize cryptographic hashing algorithms to create the action of mining a block a complicated computation. Our software is totally incompatible with altcoins. Changes and modifications to how that it works need to be approved by consensus and every CPU gets a vote. To start with, it`s essential to realize that hardware wallet users control entirely their private keys. Whether you`re bullish or bearish on Bitcoin Gold, you ought not lose your coins as a result of careless mistakes! On the 1 hand, it may result in making a coin that solves all the pending issues. There`s no currency or digital asset named Bitcoin Core. Bitcoin Cash increases the range of transactions that may be processed per block. You could send any quantity of money, any place in the Earth, almost at no cost. You`ve made some great money already on the market, but you want more. For a wealthy individual, BTC`s price premium may be viewed as a plus. For someone without lots of money, BCH`s low price may look like a great deal for Bitcoin. If you have some concerns about the worth of Bitcoin after all forks, you need to be ready for a drop. The distinction is that not all of these suffer the chain split. The primary problem is Bitcoin imposes a hard limit on the magnitude of a block, the location where transaction information becomes stored. The end result is many straightforward wallets, called SPV wallets and very commonly found on your phone, will be quite confused about which chain is Bitcoin. In Bitcoin, the most important reason is known as the network effect.
