EMV Tokenization Webinar

58:14
Contactless payments provide U.S. merchants and issuers with an opportunity to improve payments security, transaction speeds and the customer experience. With the move to EMV chip technology, the POS infrastructure can also be enabled to support contactless payments – which delivers a host of benefits to merchants, issuers and their customers. The Smart Card Alliance Payments Council hosted a webinar on the opportunities that contactless EMV payments offer to merchants. The webinar answered the most important questions about the adoption of contactless payments, such as: how contactless fits into today’s payment industry; what is different from earlier adoption attempts; and why the ideal time to go contactless is now. Webinar presenters were: Jose Correa, NXP Semiconductors; Allen Friedman, Ingenico; Oliver Manahan, Infineon Technologies; Michele Quinn, First Data; Randy Vanderhoof, Smart Card Alliance

Token - A Modern Instant, Secure Payment System

06:44
Token is building an elegant architecture to solve the faster payments problem worldwide. We took a clean sheet approach to designing a modern payment system that would meet the needs of regulators and banks worldwide, not just in the US. We spent nearly 2 years designing a new secure system architecture. Token is a brand new real-time payment rail, built on "bare metal" (central bank transfer) and not an overlay system built on existing transports such as ACH. We use a new paradigm, the "smart token" to encapsulate value and emulate payment paradigms. These smart tokens can be thought of like a digital version of a personal check if issued at the request of a person or like a banknote if issued by the bank. All tokens are issued and redeemed at banks. Banks involved in all transactions. Transactions happen directly between the banks and the bank's customers. Transactions post and clear instantly. There are no usernames or passwords or one-time codes. We eliminated all the shared secrets so there could not be a mass breach. Token supplies software to banks. The server piece runs inside the bank's data center. The client piece runs inside the bank's mobile app. There are SDK's for merchants and software developers. We are very excited about the architecture of our final design. It is a big step forward from today's payment rails. We are moving forward today with proof of concept demos with large banks in the US and EU. The 7 minute video we put together describes some of the highlights of our design and the design choices we made. We welcome your comments on our approach. You can contact us at [email protected] Effectiveness Criteria addressed: • U.1 Accessibility • U.2 Usability • U.3 Predictability • U.4 Contextual data capability • U.5 Cross-border functionality • U.6 Applicability to multiple use cases • E.1 Enables competition • E.2 Capability to enable value added services • E.3 Implementation timeline • E.4 Payment format standards • E.5 Comprehensiveness • E.6 Scalability and adaptability • E.7 Exceptions and investigations process • F.1 Fast approval • F.2 Fast clearing • F.3 Fast availability of funds to payee • F.5 Prompt visibility of payment status • S.2 Payer authorization • S.3 Payment finality • S.4 Settlement approach • S.7 Security controls • S.8 Resiliency • S.9 End-user data protection • S.10 End-user/provider authentication • L.4 Data privacy • L.5 Intellectual property

Samsung Pay: Tokenized Numbers Flaws and Issues

19:09
by Salvador Mendoza Samsung announced many layers of security to its Pay app. Without storing or sharing any type of user's credit card information, Samsung Pay is trying to become one of the most secure approaches offering functionality and simplicity for its customers. This app is a complex mechanism which has some limitations relating security. Using random tokenize numbers and implementing Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) technology, which do not guarantee that every token generated with Samsung Pay would be applied to make a purchase with the same Samsung device. That means that an attacker could steal a token from a Samsung Pay device and use it without restrictions. Inconvenient but practical is that Samsung's users could utilize the app in airplane mode. This makes it impossible for Samsung Pay to have a full control process of the tokens pile. Even when the tokens have their own restrictions, the tokenization process gets weaker after the app generates the first token relating a specific card. How random is a Spay tokenized number? It is really necessary to understand how the tokens heretically share similarities in the generation process, and how this affect the end users' security. What are the odds to guess the next tokenized number knowing the previous one?

tokenization in Java (with AIF)

12:48
In the video i'm going to show how naive tokenization can be done in Java with AIF. But more important we will learn how AIF actually executes tokenization itself, as well as we will discuss the outstanding tasks in the tokenization modules. So, after watching the video you will be able to start sending your commits to the AIF project starting today! * AIF repo: https://github.com/b0noI/AIF2 * Branch with the code from the video: https://github.com/b0noI/AIF2/tree/nlp-course-m1e1-tokenization * AIF issue tracker: https://github.com/b0noI/AIF2/issues * Issues about the tokenization modules: * https://github.com/b0noI/AIF2/issues/254 (Revisit default list of token separators (in PredefinedTokenSeparatorExtractor)) * https://github.com/b0noI/AIF2/issues/252 (TokenSplitter should be renamed to Tokenizer) * https://github.com/b0noI/AIF2/issues/251 (Extract TokenSeparatorExtractor classes into separated package) * https://github.com/b0noI/AIF2/issues/250 (PredefinedTokenSeparatorExtractor should have list of the characters in the config (and not hardcoded)) * https://github.com/b0noI/AIF2/issues/249 (Find replacement for RegexpCooker) If some of the issues have been closed already, do not worry, you still can send your pull request. Of Course in such case it is not going to be merged, however I will review it and will provide my feedback and comments.

R tutorial: What is text mining?

03:59
Learn more about text mining: https://www.datacamp.com/courses/intro-to-text-mining-bag-of-words Hi, I'm Ted. I'm the instructor for this intro text mining course. Let's kick things off by defining text mining and quickly covering two text mining approaches. Academic text mining definitions are long, but I prefer a more practical approach. So text mining is simply the process of distilling actionable insights from text. Here we have a satellite image of San Diego overlaid with social media pictures and traffic information for the roads. It is simply too much information to help you navigate around town. This is like a bunch of text that you couldn’t possibly read and organize quickly, like a million tweets or the entire works of Shakespeare. You’re drinking from a firehose! So in this example if you need directions to get around San Diego, you need to reduce the information in the map. Text mining works in the same way. You can text mine a bunch of tweets or of all of Shakespeare to reduce the information just like this map. Reducing the information helps you navigate and draw out the important features. This is a text mining workflow. After defining your problem statement you transition from an unorganized state to an organized state, finally reaching an insight. In chapter 4, you'll use this in a case study comparing google and amazon. The text mining workflow can be broken up into 6 distinct components. Each step is important and helps to ensure you have a smooth transition from an unorganized state to an organized state. This helps you stay organized and increases your chances of a meaningful output. The first step involves problem definition. This lays the foundation for your text mining project. Next is defining the text you will use as your data. As with any analytical project it is important to understand the medium and data integrity because these can effect outcomes. Next you organize the text, maybe by author or chronologically. Step 4 is feature extraction. This can be calculating sentiment or in our case extracting word tokens into various matrices. Step 5 is to perform some analysis. This course will help show you some basic analytical methods that can be applied to text. Lastly, step 6 is the one in which you hopefully answer your problem questions, reach an insight or conclusion, or in the case of predictive modeling produce an output. Now let’s learn about two approaches to text mining. The first is semantic parsing based on word syntax. In semantic parsing you care about word type and order. This method creates a lot of features to study. For example a single word can be tagged as part of a sentence, then a noun and also a proper noun or named entity. So that single word has three features associated with it. This effect makes semantic parsing "feature rich". To do the tagging, semantic parsing follows a tree structure to continually break up the text. In contrast, the bag of words method doesn’t care about word type or order. Here, words are just attributes of the document. In this example we parse the sentence "Steph Curry missed a tough shot". In the semantic example you see how words are broken down from the sentence, to noun and verb phrases and ultimately into unique attributes. Bag of words treats each term as just a single token in the sentence no matter the type or order. For this introductory course, we’ll focus on bag of words, but will cover more advanced methods in later courses! Let’s get a quick taste of text mining!

R tutorial: Cleaning and preprocessing text

03:14
Learn more about text mining with R: https://www.datacamp.com/courses/intro-to-text-mining-bag-of-words Now that you have a corpus, you have to take it from the unorganized raw state and start to clean it up. We will focus on some common preprocessing functions. But before we actually apply them to the corpus, let’s learn what each one does because you don’t always apply the same ones for all your analyses. Base R has a function tolower. It makes all the characters in a string lowercase. This is helpful for term aggregation but can be harmful if you are trying to identify proper nouns like cities. The removePunctuation function...well it removes punctuation. This can be especially helpful in social media but can be harmful if you are trying to find emoticons made of punctuation marks like a smiley face. Depending on your analysis you may want to remove numbers. Obviously don’t do this if you are trying to text mine quantities or currency amounts but removeNumbers may be useful sometimes. The stripWhitespace function is also very useful. Sometimes text has extra tabbed whitespace or extra lines. This simply removes it. A very important function from tm is removeWords. You can probably guess that a lot of words like "the" and "of" are not very interesting, so may need to be removed. All of these transformations are applied to the corpus using the tm_map function. This text mining function is an interface to transform your corpus through a mapping to the corpus content. You see here the tm_map takes a corpus, then one of the preprocessing functions like removeNumbers or removePunctuation to transform the corpus. If the transforming function is not from the tm library it has to be wrapped in the content_transformer function. Doing this tells tm_map to import the function and use it on the content of the corpus. The stemDocument function uses an algorithm to segment words to their base. In this example, you can see "complicatedly", "complicated" and "complication" all get stemmed to "complic". This definitely helps aggregate terms. The problem is that you are often left with tokens that are not words! So you have to take an additional step to complete the base tokens. The stemCompletion function takes as arguments the stemmed words and a dictionary of complete words. In this example, the dictionary is only "complicate", but you can see how all three words were unified to "complicate". You can even use a corpus as your completion dictionary as shown here. There is another whole group of preprocessing functions from the qdap package which can complement these nicely. In the exercises, you will have the opportunity to work with both tm and qdap preprocessing functions, then apply them to a corpus.

GlobalOnePay’s tokenization service provides access to billing data without the liability of storing sensitive card information. Once a customer initiates payment, credit card information is sent to GlobalOnePay to “tokenize” card details, converting them into a unique combination of alpha-numeric characters, tied to that customer’s profile. GlobalOnePay stores sensitive information in a secure database, eliminating the merchant's liability in case of a breach. Merchants still retain access to vital billing and payment-related details for management or subscription and recurring billing charges.

Lexical Analysis : Introduction - Tokens,Patterns,Lexeme

04:16
Lexical analysis is the first phase of compiler. It is a process of taking Input string of characters and producing sequence of symbols called tokens are lexeme, which may be handled more easily by parser. Interaction of lexical analysis with parser is explained. Tokens Tokens are sequence of character that can be treated as a single logical unit, tokens may be a) identifiers b)keywords c)operators d)special symbols e)constants. Lexemes A lexeme is a sequence of characters, in a source program that is matched by a pattern for token. Pattern Rule of description is a pattern. Attribute for token when more than one pattern, matches a lexeme, lexical analyzer must provide additional information about particular lexeme, that is matched to subsequent phase of compiler. Examples for Patterns, lexemes & tokens are explained.

Point to Point Encryption (P2PE) ensures that credit card data that must be collected and transmitted after a purchase is encrypted by a one time encryption key as soon as the card is swiped into the card reader. That key is destroyed immediately after a single use. The decryption keys are stored in an isolated Hardware Security Module (or HSM) at the payment gateway. SafeNet's HSMs are at the foundation of the only Point to Point Encryption solutions to be validated to date. Learn more at https://safenet.gemalto.com/P2PE.

Although some companies have good prices, you can need $50,000 to get started. It can be challenging to ascertain a business`s spread policy so the best method to learn is to try several brokers, or speak to other traders who have, not to mention check out the forums. You must take a look at the business`s fine print or e-mail for more information. Businesses are mainly able to prevent fluctuations and easily benefit from the future prices. So, many businesses prefer using ready-made CRM solutions, but a lot of features still require customization and integration to fulfill the particular small business requirements. If your organization is having trouble getting through the proverbial hump, an excellent CRM program system might be the secret to reaching that next level. If you`re a company or private individual wanting to move considerable amounts of money abroad, and you`re therefore seeking to earn a purchase of a huge amount foreign currency, think before going studying the high street bank as your only route to getting that large quantity of foreign money.
When transferring lots of currency you should be careful were you do it to find the best rates. Negotiate hard and receive the very best rate you`re able to. The lower an individual credit rating, the greater her APR interest rate will be.
Some brokers have various spreads for various customers. It`s simpler to stick with the broker you`ve come to know and trust. Regardless of the specific order, brokers must get the finest possible price for their customers. Locating a fantastic broker means finding one that is appropriate for you and your trading style. Brokerage is a price of conducting business and as such you need to always look to reduce your expenses.
Any system that you use for trading has to be operated in a safe encrypted environment and the system has to be fully protected and continuously monitored. As soon as you have a fully tested trading system you`re prepared to trade. Finding the very best forex trading program process isn`t easy and will take you a little bit of time. It`s also simple to manage the computer software. Trading software must for example supply you with a summary of the marketplace so you can spot trends and opportunities as they arise in real time and make it possible for you to focus in and receive in depth info on particular currency pairs with constantly updating real-time rates, along with historic price data. It`s however the major tool of your trade and therefore do not merely accept the very first system you stumble across and work with it, good or bad. Developing an extensive CRM process is complicated and very costly, but its becoming a critical investment.
Utilizing AI algorithms, it will not merely improve itself but can also supply you with precious info about your customers. Understand their terms and legal info, then choose one that you`re comfortable and confident with. Secondly, it`s crucial that you collect as much info and insight as you`re able to.

The miners are interested in finding a nonce which will create a hash with certain characteristics. Lastly, they have to find a random value that they included in the header, which makes the computed hash over that header a value below a particular target. In other words, they do not have to agree to change the protocol.
